The fall of an angel – This is the gesture of blond Nizam, a circumcised Perceval of modern Lebanon, a baptized Muslim, born a Sunni in Tripoli, but raised by his adoptive parents in a village in the heart of the Christian mountains. It is the story of a boy with blue eyes, which all women want to caress; the story of a young man who discovers, amazed, the excitement of Beirut and student enthusiasm of the 1970s, the passion in the arms of JANANE, a suicidal Cassandra, Christian and golden-haired like him, but who also discovers the unfair and fatal act of sectarianism. All of which happens before the first chapters of the tragic civil war that destroyed the country starting from 1975. Superb.

L’histoire d’un gamin aux yeux bleus que toutes les femmes veulent caresser, celle d’un jeune homme qui découvre, émerveillé, l’éffervescence de Beyrouth et la fougue estudiantine des années 1970, la passion dans les bras de Janane, Cassandre suicidaire, chrétienne aux cheveux dorés comme lui, mais aussi la loi injuste et fatale du confessionnalisme. Avant que ne se jouent les premiers actes de la tragique guerre civile qui a détruit le pays à partir de 1975. Superbe.
